1 Aluminum alloy
Aluminum alloy is the most commonly used material in lamp manufacturing. Usually, it is often heard that the lamp needs to be opened (die-casting die), and aluminum alloy should be pressed after opening.
The newly bought aluminum alloy is in the form of aluminum ingot, and the objects pressed out after it is put into the die casting machine are some common lamp structures, such as the radiator lamp body and face ring at the back of the lamp, and the lamp body directly die-cast with aluminum alloy, etc. It has the advantages of light material, high strength and excellent processing, so many lamps will be made of aluminum alloy.
2 Zinc alloy
However, the cost of aluminum alloy is relatively high, and some lamp structures that do not require very high materials can be replaced by zinc alloy. Its quality is slightly heavier, but its cost is relatively cheap. Therefore, the general grade is not particularly high products (applied to mid-range lamps), may be zinc alloy as raw materials to do, especially some small spare parts.
3 Steel plate
Steel is also a commonly used material in lamps and lanterns. It has a wide range of applications, is much cheaper than aluminum, and has strong plasticity. Therefore, many die-castings that need high strength but do not need high precision generally use steel plates. For example, the whole lamp body on the upper part of the lamp panel is generally bent with steel plates.
4 Plastics
Plastic is just a general term, which includes many kinds, such as PC and PMMA, which are common at ordinary times. It is a kind of high molecular polymer, and its prototype is rice-like colloidal particles, which are put into an injection molding machine as raw materials, and then injected into the corresponding mold to press out surfaces, covers and shells of various colors. Black plastic is often used to do some spare parts, covers, plates, etc., and even the whole lamps are made of plastic (colored plastic is used less in lamps).
5 Mirror aluminum
Mirror aluminum material is unique to the lighting industry, and other products are rarely used. The surface of this aluminum plate is as smooth as mirror surface, which can reflect light, so it is specially used to make reflectors, such as reflectors in lamp panels and reflectors in LED tube spotlights.
6 Sand-faced aluminum
In addition to smooth mirror aluminum plate, there is also a kind of rough sand aluminum plate, which is also highly used in lamps. The roughness of this kind of sand-faced aluminum plate can be light sand or heavy sand, and it is also used as a reflector, which does not control light as accurately as mirror-faced aluminum. The characteristics of aluminum on sand surface are: light shines on the surface and diffuse reflection in all directions; In many cases, sand-faced aluminum is used when astigmatism is only needed and precision is not needed.
